One of the most significant projects of reorganization of the branch is reconstruction and modernization of the cotton ginneries, which have been fulfilled since 2007 within the Decree of the Cabinet of Ministers of the Republic of Uzbekistan from 03.04 2007 ¹70,according to the Program of modernization and renovation of cotton ginning industry in 2007-2011yars.
In 2007,7 cotton ginneries –Hodjeily(The Republic of Karakalpakstan),Hatirchi,(Navoi region),Buka(Tashkent region),Peshku(Bukhara region),Saihunabad(Syrdarya region),Ziyavudin(Samarkand region) and Yangiaryk(Khorezm region) came into operation after remodeling.
To the season of preparation and processing of seed cotton harvest of 2008 7 more ginneries-Turtkul(The Republic of Karakalpakstan), Kuva (Fergana), Zarbdor (Dzhizakh), Kushkupir (Khorezm), Jeinau (Kashkadarya), Chelek (Samarkand) and Shofirkon (Bukhara) have also been put into operation.
Within the period from 2009-2011,27 ginning enterprises of the cotton branch will be subjected to modernization. As a result of the implementation of the Program of renovation and modernization of 41 ginning enterprises some increase of ginning outturn of cotton fibre will be achieved up to 33,2% and higher, the increase of specific weight of the first grade cotton fibre of high classes(“Oliy”and “Yahshi”),cost reduction of produced output is going to be up to 10-15% at the expense of a drop of industrial and other expenditures, reduction will be up to the minimum of manufacturing waste and drop of energy and metal consumption(power-to-weight ratio) of the equipment and also increase of a level of industrial sanitary and aesthetics of manufacture and creation of a favorable conditions for personnel with the solution of environmental protection will be succed.
With the purposes of obtaining the greatest efficiency in updating the cotton industry deeper study of foreign experience is stipulated by the Program in a range of thorough processing of seed-cotton in the leading cotton ginning countries, particularly in China and India.On its base with the allowance of existed available operating developments, design,achievement and experience of domestic scientific research,planning and design organizations are to be provided to create more perspective technologies of the thorough processing of seed-cotton.So as to speed up the process of modernization of cotton industry purchasing of the complex foreign automated lines on the thorough processing of seed-cotton is stipulated for broad production-line trials at the cotton ginneries of Buchara and Samarkand regions. For this purpose volumetric predesigning works with development of specifications for them are to ensure the greatest overall performance of all production process lines, starting from drying and cleaning of cotton till pressing of cotton fibre with its packing.
